Hello everyone, it’s the OUCB Gigs Officer speaking! |
As many of you will be aware, next Monday night (the 27th of October) is the first of this year’s public ceilidhs! For those not in the know, a ceilidh - pronounced ‘kay-lee’ - is a night of live music and dancing with someone (the ‘caller’) teaching you the steps. Whether you’re a great dancer, a bad dancer that’s good at following instructions, or just an agent of chaos, ceilidhs are for you! And our public ceilidhs are especially beginner-friendly. Just turn up with yourself, some comfy shoes and potentially a few mates and we can take it from there. |
The ceilidh will be held between 7-9.30pm at the Jesus College Digital Hub on Market Street, i.e. opposite the Wagamama’s near the Covered Market. Tickets can be bought on our website, or you can just turn up at the door. Comfy shoes and light clothing are recommended as dancing can get a bit sweaty! You can visit our website or Instagram (@ouceilidhband) to have a look at what previous ceilidhs have been like. |
We hope to see lots of you lovely people there! Ceilidhs are a great way to try something new, get your groove on and meet new people, so give them a go and we can practically guarantee you that you’ll have a good time :) |
See you there! |
