Hi all,

I’m excited to bring you a new event being run by OUCB: Folk Round Here! This is our inaugural folk-club-style music night, an evening of trad/folk music open to anyone to come along and listen or perform.

This first event will be taking place on 20th November (Thurs. 6th Wk.) at St Columba’s Church, doors at 8pm. Tickets are available HERE and on our linktree.

The first half of the evening will be an open mic with floor spots - anyone can sign up in advance to perform a song or set of tunes (or indeed anything else of a trad/folk bend!). This means we're looking for people to sign up! Slots are around 5 minutes long and open to solos or groups, with the opportunity to do 1 or 2 slots (and also come with half-price entry!). If you're interested, please sign up HERE.

The second half will be a guest spot by a local band, in this case we have the insanely talented Bailey and Keely playing some electrifying tunes from across the English tradition. Anyone who has seen them play live or heard their recent debut album Atthomis will attest this isn’t a gig to miss! Below is a clip from their recent launch gig at the Isis Farmhouse.

This will be a wonderful night showcasing the thriving Oxford folk scene. Please share this with friends, acquaitances, random strangers on the street. Tickets and floor spot sign-ups can be found on our website and socials!

Hope to see you there!

Dan
